Mary: she got a rainbow light from her uncle for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's a kid's toy that casts a rainbow on her wall. I was trying to shoot a different subject (a plastic unicorn that I noticed standing under the rainbow) when M picked up the light and said "I can make a rainbow on my face." I snapped without even thinking. Because the camera was set up for the other shot which was also close range, all worked out perfectly. Accidentally and perfectly. I took 2 more shots but once she knew I was trying, she didn't play along well. It was the first shot that was the winner. Phew.
Fantastic, Sue!
ReplyDeleteSo very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's really eyecatching - is your subject looking through one of those magnifying lights? Must have been a job to get the focus right. Love it!
