I like this a lot, but it's not exactly fluff, which is, in some senses, a bit of a relief: I've had rather minimal(ist?) contributions to the prompts....
Bea: They've drained the swimming pool across the street. All that remains is a bit of water in the deep end. The blue part of the picture is the empty shallow end. The pink part is the deep end. I'm not sure how it's possible that the shadow of the tree extended that far across the pool, but it did. The shot was taken right at sunset, so the shadows were long--and the sky was a fantastic pink.
Ohhhh. I couldn't figure out how one part of the pool was full and the other empty with no visible boundary between them. I forgot about the deep end. Such a cool shot.
This is really great. (I was going to say "cool," but I'm overusing that word. I need to start using a thesaurus. How do you feel about "spiffy?" ) Anyhow, I love the way the composition confuses the eye, plus the way you have the frame split right across the middle. It's like you have 2 alternate worlds.

ReplyDeleteI can't figure this picture out. The sky and tree are reflected in the water - but why does the water stop where it does?
ReplyDeleteThe prompt is only there if I need it. Most weeks I usually only need to rely on it once.
