The pretty looks in the opposite direction of me

Two weeks of being single parented and 49 days of Project 365 are starting to take their toll. Poor lamb. This was supposed to be a self-portrait until she inserted herself in the shot.

How are you all doing? Do you look more like me at this point in the project or more like my daughter? We lost one member of the project when Hannah stepped down yesterday. I fear the season of attrition may be upon us. Please let me know if you are keen or flagging, and/or if you could use some boosterism.

Boosterism. Now that's a fun word. I notice it ends with this coming week's prompt: -ism. Have at 'er.

  1. I don't know. I have good days and bad. I haven't even the slightest inclination to step down, but there are days when snapping photos is very low on my list of priorities.

  2. -ism? Oh dear. Where do you come up with these? It's a good thing I don't care too much about being obedient and following the rules of language. I'm pretty sure I can add -ism to just about any word, right?

I haven't considered quitting yet, although I am terrible about commenting on other people's pictures. Pathetic, yes, I know. I will try to do better-ism. See how that works?

  3. Haven't even considred quitting, though I'm teetering on the edge of being erratic. Love looking at everyone's work, too, and love comments received; I've been trying to comment more. Often people have been there before me, and have the same things to say.

  4. ... so a good title for this one is "Self-Portrait with Poor Lamb"? : )

Myra has been borrowing my point-and-shoot to wander around the place taking pictures. Fun, fun.

  5. Yeah it's been a bit of struggle and there was that one day when it was 4 minutes to midnight and no picture . . . But so far it's been worthwhile and I love looking at everyone's pictures and reading the comments. So many interesting and wonderful photos.

  6. I'm not getting a photo a day - I see them, but a) have forgotten the camera or b)haven't got time or c) have forgotten what I saw by the time I get the camera or have the time. So, I'm really cheating because I photograph in batches. Having said that, if what I'm doing is close enough, I love the project. It's effect on me is to make me look, even as I am whizzing by in cameraless mode.

  7. It probably feels like I have quit, given that I haven't posted a picture since the end of August.

In reality, I have 30 or so pictures sitting on my camera. I am just drowning in freelance work right now, you see. If I don't get a break soon the number of pics on my camera will become utterly overwhelming for me to upload and post. I'm on the brink, Sue. On the brink!
